(Known as Bernie)

He was born on 14^th September 1929 in Pietermaritzburg

Went to school at Marist Brothers (St Charles College) in Pietermaritzburg.

Married to Shirley on the 22^nd April 1957 (Married for 64 years)

He was Initiated at Maryvale on the 07^TH November 1969

PRGK Br Keith Bloom I was there as he had been initiated at Maryvale some 6 months prior. 

Offices held:

• 1.       Chancellor - 1977/1978 
• 2.       Deputy Grand Knight - 1983/1984
• 3.       Transferred to CL44 in 1986 (Western Cape)
• 4.       Master of Second Degree - 1986/1987
• 5.       Chancellor - 1987/1988
• 6.       Grand Knight - 1988/1989/1990
• 7.       Transferred to Victory Park - CL 3 January 1990
• 8.       Master of Second Degree - 1990/1991
• 9.       Chancellor - 1993/1994/1995
• 10.   Master at Arms - 1998/1999
• 11.   Transferred to CL 11 East Rand - January 2000   also known as Boksburg   
• 12.   Chancellor -2000/2001
• 13.   He eventually saw the light and joined CL 24 Benoni in March 2011
• 14.   Master of the Second Degree - 2012/2013 & 2015/2016.

You can see from his terms of office that he truly was a devoted Knight and we are all very proud to have been associated with him.

He was always concerned about growing the order and very concerned about the spirituality of the Knights.

We regret that he had to suffer towards the end of his life, but we can be sure that Jesus has prepared a room for him.
